A long, long time ago…

For those who have visited our apartment, we probably had you park back by a large stone seminary school.  Two of the towers pictured above are positioned on Rue Sherbooke.  I had seen them and admired them before, but didn’t think much about it.  I learned today from my new favorite website Spacing Montreal that these towers are two of the oldest remaining structures on the island of Montreal.  They were part of an original fort and eventually used as a school to teach natives in Canada. (I know…not the most wonderful of history, but it is history, none-the-less)
